Julianne used to believe in fairy tales; she's been watching
for Prince Charming to come charging in on his white steed
ever since the day her mother read her Cinderella
for the first time. But she's never come close to
finding the perfect man-instead she's always tripping over
her childhood best friend, Will. And who finds their Prince
Charming on a 10-speed bicycle on the other side of
the cul de sac? Well... Julianne does. Only she doesn't have
a clue. She and Will are attorneys now, and they've
joined up in private practice in a beautiful Cincinnati
office building that overlooks the Ohio River. And then one
day Julianne is on her way to court, and runs right smack
dab into Prince Charming. But when she looks again, all she
finds is a metaphoric sign she is certain came straight
from Heaven: The Prince's toolbox has fallen off the back of
his truck, and a work boot along with it. What better way
for God to grab the attention of a Cinderella-in-training
than to show her a glass slipper...errrr, work
boot?...waiting to be reunited with its owner? So
she sets out to track down the mysterious Prince Charming.
He's the most gorgeous guy she's ever seen...and a caring
animal rescuer, too. Surely he must be the soul mate God
has prepared her for. But, Julianne's prince
is starting to look less and less charming all
the time. No matter how she tries to romanticize him, he
just keeps tumbling down off that dumb pedestal. And with
the Bar Association dinner coming up that will honor her for
her outstanding charity work over the year, Julianne wants
so much for her friends and colleagues to see her with
someone besides her best friend Will. To make matters worse,
Prince Charming has no designs on wearing a penguin suit
and attending a stuffy old dinner. With her pride pressing
in on her like sticks from a cactus, Julianne sinks to the
bottom of the proverbial barrel and actually offers to pay
Paul to be her date. Julianne is on a collision
course with God's perfect plan for her life...if only she
could open her eyes and see it before it's too late.

Re: If The Shoe Fits
Carry On by Fun., a lot of hair bands, a dash of Frank Sinatra and Doris Day, and I would have to give a shout to - Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Matt Nathanson, John Mayer, Jason Mraz (who was a soundtrack to a whole vacation), candles and moonlight goes to Barry White, Marvin Gaye, Smokey I love music, I can close my eyes and go back to the roller rink, dancing in my room, my dates, my heartbreaks - I think we all have a soundtrack, it will play as long as we do. (Carla Carlson 1:11pm June 19, 2013)
Garth Brooks, Michael Buble, the Dixie Chicks, definitely Adele, and maybe a little Whitney Houston. (Kelli Jo Calvert 1:12pm June 19, 2013)

All classic 80s rock anthems! (Sharon Goodpasture 2:02pm June 19, 2013)
Music is a huge part of my life! It definitely can change a mood and influence my thinking. My soundtrack would have Celtic melodies, country classics, classical themes and dance tunes here and there. (Susan P 2:58pm June 19, 2013)
As a professional musician, I must have the chamber music of Mendelssohn and Brahms, the occasional Gee Gees, Big Band/Swing Era, and definitely Tony Bennett. Can't live without him!! Throw in some Mahler and Schubert and Schumann, and I'm the world's happiest camper!

I really enjoy a variety. I especially love Elvis, Beach Boys, Queen, Kansas, Boston, Foreigner, Ted Nugent, ZZTop, Lionel Richie, etc.; just to name of few of my favorites. This book sounds so good...I really want to read it since Cinderella was one of my favorite fairy tales as a child. I was even in a Cinderella play, on stage before an audience, when I was in 4th grade (I was the wicked stepmother)! (Linda Luinstra 6:17pm June 19, 2013)

I grew up with lots of music and my husband Jesus and I have a favorite song: " Never Gonna Give You Up" is a 1987 song by British singer Rick Astley. I love to hear Hall and Oates and Three Dog Night I went to their concert in Charlotte, NC when I was a teenager with my cousins. I love Christian music and Salsa music and Beach Boys and Alice Cooper and ZZ Top and other great bands. I grew up with Disco music and even won dancing contests in Kansas. So, Congrats on your new book: IF THE SHOE FITS and I would love to read it and win it too. Thank You, Cecilia CECE (Cecilia Dunbar Hernandez 11:17pm June 19, 2013)

soundtrack of my life would be the national anthem. I come from a family of military folks who defended this country and love this country for what it is today. Land of the free. (Lisa Fitzgibbons 5:44am June 20, 2013)
It would include lots of songs by different singers, but several Taylor Swift songs would be on the early part of the soundtrack. (Pam Howell 8:27am June 20, 2013)
You asked a tough question!! I suppose I'd have to start out with Carole King's Tapestry, then move into the group Chicago, with a little Procol Harem and a smidgen of Journey thrown in for good measure!! There are other groups I could think of, but I think I'll stop with this. Now I'll have to get familiar with your books!! They sound like just the thing I need to boost my spirits this Summer!! I've had a lot on my plate as of late, and would enjoy a good book respite!! (Peggy Roberson 8:54am June 20, 2013)
Coheed & Cambria (Steve Pierce 10:42am June 20, 2013)
Paul Anka and Neil Young. Congratulations and best wishes. (Sharon Berger 10:52am June 20, 2013)
The music that soothes me is what I love best, so instrumentals and jazz would be on that soundtrack for me. Not the usual offerings, but great sounds to read by. (Diana Corlett 1:33pm June 20, 2013)
My favorite music tends to be soundtracks from musicals so if I were to create a soundtrack I would have to include a fun upbeat number from something like Rent or Grease. (Jamie Fortney 1:45pm June 20, 2013)
saw Bob Seger on The Voice last night. I'm a 70's and 80's girl (LOL) Reading everybodys answers brings back so many of my favorites from that era. I even remember exactly where I was when I heard some of songs from back then. Don't like any of todays music. Only listen to classic rock stations (Susan Falkler 3:15pm June 20, 2013)
The first concert my mom took me to was at Madison Square Garden to see KC and the Sunshine Band. Then came 70's disco. So I would add some more of that kinda music to my ipod. (Christine Didyk 3:28pm June 20, 2013)
I love all types of music (except opera) but when I'm writing, I have solo piano music playing. It can be soft jazz, 70's, 80's, christian, etc., as long as it's just piano. Obviously, I'm a piano girl - I've been playing the piano since I was six. (Edwina Cowgill 5:24pm June 20, 2013)
Definitely Brooks and Dunn and Adele...HA Love your books too!! (Bonnie Capuano 6:11pm June 20, 2013)
Those Far-Away Places. I learned to sing it in 3rd grade and I was hooked. I love to travel all over the world and do a lot of it in books. (Leona Olson 8:08pm June 20, 2013)
Elvis and the Beatles---am I dating myself? (Sue Farrell 9:49pm June 20, 2013)
It would be the Footloose Soundtrack with Rod Steward, Phil Colins, and One Republic. My life sounds a bit like them. (Kai Wong 1:11am June 21, 2013)
I love listening to Israel "Iz" Kamakawiwo'ole these days. All his music has a Hawaiian sound to it. (Carol Woodruff 11:32am June 21, 2013)
Love oldies and rock 'n roll music. Lots of the groups...Beatles, Boston, Fleetwood Mac, etc. (Rich Cook 5:52pm June 21, 2013)
Has to be classic Beatles for me. (Mary Preston 11:39pm June 21, 2013)
I love all kinds of music, especially classic rock 'n roll. (Bonnie H 8:35pm June 23, 2013)
Just finished this book. What a delight. It was inspiration, funny and yes a fairytale. What girl doesn't look for her prince charming. (Sharon Salituro 8:00am July 2, 2013)
