Romance Historical

For years, he’s been an object of fear, fascination…and fantasy. But of all the wicked rumors that forever dog the formidable Alexander Moncrieffe, Duke of Falconbridge, the ton knows one thing for certain: only fools dare cross him. And when Ian Eversea does just that, Moncrieffe knows the perfect revenge: he’ll seduce Ian’s innocent sister, Genevieve—the only member of the powerful and wealthy Eversea family as yet untouched by scandal. First he’ll capture her heart...and then he’ll break it. But everything about Genevieve is unexpected: the passion simmering beneath her cool control, the sharp wit tempered by a gentleness that coaxes out his deepest secrets… And though Genevieve has heard the whispers about the duke’s dark past, and knows she trifles with him at her peril, one incendiary kiss tempts her deeper into a world of extraordinary sensuality. Until Genevieve is faced with a fateful choice…is there anything she won't do for a duke?

Re: What I Did For A Duke

I have no idea but could it be Buster?
(Stephanie Bondlow 12:46pm March 10, 2011)

Is it Susan?
(
Rosie Nguy 2:08am March 10, 2011)

It's Susan
(
Pam Howell 7:07am March 10, 2011)

Loved the excerpt Julie! This sounds like a wonderful series. I love your cover!
(
Stacie Deramo 8:06am March 10, 2011)

The spider is named Susan. I look forward to reading your newest!
(
G S Moch 8:52am March 10, 2011)

I looked all over your website for the answer and I couldn't find it. All of the excerpts of your books sound awesome!
(
Renee Pajda 9:44am March 10, 2011)

Your books sound great. Someone already answered, but it's Susan.
(
MaryAnne Banks 9:54am March 10, 2011)

Honestly, I have no idea what the name of the spider is. But hot damn! I have got to read this book. Well done!
(
Cynthia Netherton 9:54am March 10, 2011)

Just finished What I Did For A Duke and LOVED it! The focus was very much on the relationship and the tension between the hero and heroine never let up. The only bad thing about reading this book? I'm having a hard time getting into another one because I loved this one so much. Thanks Julie for a great read!
(
Kelly Kerns 11:11am March 10, 2011)

I can't wait to read this one. I've read some of this series and enjoyed it very much. I love your stories.
(
Phyllis Crabtree 11:12am March 10, 2011)

Kelly, I'm so thrilled you loved What I Did for a Duke! :)
Thanks for telling me! And you know, I've heard just that
from a number of readers—that the book lingered on after
they put it down, and they didn't want to pick up another
one just yet. One reviewer told me she read the ending over
and over because she loved it so much! This blows my mind—
I'm just in awe and thrilled and so happy that a book I've
written is impacting readers like that.

Renee, glad you liked the excerpts on my website!! :) I was
sneaky, and asked a trivia question you can only find in the
book. LOL. Sorry!! And it's lovely to see you here, Phyllis!
Thanks so much for being so supportive over the years. :)
Hope you love What I Did for a Duke, too!
(
Julie Long 11:47am March 10, 2011)

I don't have this book so, therefore, am unable to answer the question on the name of the spider.

(

I love series books. I do hope to catch up on all of them.
(
Pamela Stewart 12:35pm March 10, 2011)

I haven't read any of your books, but did check them out on your website. They've all been added to my TBR list.
(
Andrea Infinger 12:38pm March 10, 2011)

This sound like another great British historical!
Blessings,

Stacey Smith 4:00pm March 10, 2011)

Oh, I am so happy that I won! :) I love this series.

I forgot to tell you in my earler post that I cried while reading Like No Other Lover. The ending was so touching. I didn't like Cynthia or Miles too much in the first few pages but I loved them by the end. :) Both of them are great characters. :)
(
May Pau 4:39pm March 10, 2011)

My sister introduced me to your books & I am so pleased she did. Fingers crossed!!
(
Mary Preston 4:45pm March 10, 2011)

I really need to read this one and find out exactly what Genevieve did for the Duke! What a delightful escape from today's worldwide worries.
(
Nancy Van Orden 6:01pm March 10, 2011)

Great covers, hope I win.
(
Deb Pelletier 6:08pm March 10, 2011)

Congratulations on the new release! Sounds like a great series, I'll need to look at some of the earlier books.
(
Maria Munoz 6:24pm March 10, 2011)

An impressive number of you girls knew the spider was named
Susan! That was kind of a tough question, too! I couldn't be
happier that you cried while reading Like No Other Lover,
May, as long as you laughed, too. :) And Mary, I'm so glad
your sister introduced you to my books, too—my sister and I
always exchange books! Love of books is a long-time family
tradition, and I meet so many readers who got their love of
reading romances from their mothers & share it with their
sisters. I love it when mothers and daughters come to my
signings together. :)

I really DO think you all need to find out what Genevieve
did for a duke, if you haven't yet. ;)
(
Julie Long 6:28pm March 10, 2011)

I'm looking forward to finding out what Genevieve did for the Duke! It will be soon.

(

(
d Kenney 8:30pm March 10, 2011)

Great excerpt, always enjoy your books.
(
Jean Patton 8:43pm March 10, 2011)

I'm sorry that I'm not familiar with your books, but I do plan on reading them. This excerpt did pique my curiosity. You have a different way of telling a romance, which is refreshing. I'm sure I'll enjoy your books.
(
Peggy Roberson 10:24pm March 10, 2011)

See what happens when you don't look at your email until late in the evening. You miss out on not one but two trivia contest. Dang. Can't wait to read this one.

I have read the excerpt about the first kiss several times recently, and each time I do, I finish with a sigh. Lovely imagery, lovely writing. I cannot wait to read this book.
(
Dolores Feagin 8:13am March 11, 2011)

Oooh! I wanna win! *smiles*
(
Theresa Newbury 12:03pm March 11, 2011)

I've been as sixes and sevens for a long time it seems to me. Some of my books are still in storage, but maybe I'll try to get into this series anyway. I'm hoping our public library has all of them handy. Bye, Julie Ann.
(
Sigrun Schulz 1:04am March 12, 2011)

I hope to read this books soon.
(
Kim C 7:45pm March 17, 2011)

Congratulations on the success of this book. I still haven't caught up with my reading. For a while I seemed to get quite a few books read, but for the last few weeks, I seem to keep falling asleep while I'm reading. Summer has never been my favorite season and this one has been unusually hot and humid for us here up north too.
(
Sigrun Schulz 3:24am August 18, 2011)

I just wanted to tell you that I think the cover to your
latest book is stunning!! It's also a great deal, too, but
I'm disappointed that it's only in an e-book format, since I
don't own an e-reader, and prefer my books in print.
Congratulations on your latest book!! I'm sure it will be a
big hit!!
