Alaska - Where the men are as bold and untamed as
America's last wilderness
It's been three years since Lane Bishop tragically lost
her fiancé, and she's finally ready to risk her heart on
someone else. The hot look in Dylan Brodie's eyes says he's
going to be that man.
But when Lane flies to the remote 1930's fishing lodge to
help him renovate, she discovers a little girl who won't
speak, eerie legends and strange sounds in the night. And
when she investigates the history of the lodge, she uncovers
a legacy of injustice and murder.
As danger stalks his daughter and the woman he is coming
to love, Dylan must risk everything to uncover the shocking
truth.
Hi Kat! Love you books! (MaryAnne Banks 7:07pm May 26, 2014)
I found your posting to be very moving, and it's always a plus to find out some extra background about an Authors' books!! I can't wait to read your latest book, as well as the others in the series!! It sounds like you had quite a road trip, and I've always heard about how wonderful Alaska is from other people who have been there. All I need to do is get my Husband out of his chair so we can go through the same wonderful experience!! Thank you for sharing such a personal story about your Husband, too!! Thank him for his service, even though it's a day late with Memorial Day. (Peggy Roberson 7:21am May 27, 2014)
I think a road trip to Alaska would be the best. Give me a road trip over a plane ride any day. Your book sounds great and I appreciate the opportunity to be a winner. (Melanie Backus 9:04am May 27, 2014)
Hi, Peggy and Melanie! I was on yesterday, sorry I missed you. It really was a wonderful trip, but HARD! One day the wind was blowing so hard we couldn't get the doors open on the pickup! And we were supposed to be having a barbeque! Ended up in another camper with room for all 6 of us. Hope you enjoy Against the Wild. warmest, kat (Kat Martin 12:48pm May 27, 2014)
I must add you to my TBR list. My husband rented a car in Alaska and we drove to Seward and ended with a train ride to Fairbanks in the winter. The lowering the American flag must have been very emotional but what a memory to have. (Leona Olson 9:50am May 31, 2014)
I enjoyed reading your post. I actually just ordered Against the wild last nigh. I'm so excited to read it. (Robin Tindle 12:56pm June 3, 2014)
Good review so I will check on the book. I like kids in a book. I read Against the Sun recently. (Leona Olson 6:30pm June 23, 2014)
