March Into Romance: New Releases to Fall in Love With!
Shawn Dalton-smith
Shawn Dalton-Smith lives in Atlanta, Ga.
where she creates her paranormal
romances. Most of them take place in
Atlanta, though other-wordly places tend
to come into play.
She met the love of her life in Korea,
where they were both serving in the
United States Army. The year was 1988.
She'd been married for a few months when
she realized, after discovering her
husband's elementary school yearbook,
that they'd met decades earlier. In the
second grade.
Three children and several grandchildren
later, they're still happy, and holding
hands. Living a great romance is as
fulfilling as writing one.
I used to love Little House when I was younger. But since then, I've gotten into paranormals. Pheobe from Charmed has become a big favorite. In books, there are too many to name, especially from Sherrilynn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series.
Thanks everyone for all of your thoughtful comments. I had to put myself in Kalyste's shoes when writing this. During the scene when she watches the love of her life marry her best friend, I put myself in the chapel, and imagined it was my husband. I cried through most of it. Luckily, there are no vengeful furies in the story, lol! The people of Haven are all there because of a rare genetic anomally, so they don't go to Heaven or hell when they die. I wish I could say Haven was paradise, but I can't make that claim. Good luck in the contest. Happy reading!
Thanks to everyone for stopping by and sharing a small piece of yourselves with me. It has been a priviledge meeting all of you. And remember,no matter who you are, or who you think you are, know that you are special. Good luck and God bless!
Hello there! Glad to meet you all. Somiar is really an amazing character and goes through a lot of changes. And Lynda, you're right. The things she goes through makes her redefine who she is. Even the hero and secondary characters find out things they never knew about themselves. It's a wild ride!
