Re: Into The Darkest Corner (11:08am June 23, 2012):
I belong to a Science Fiction book club, called Harry that has bee in exsistence for over 30 years here in Stark County Ohio. It's not a closed group and there are some very devoted members who keep trying to bring new people into the fold. I joined 22 years ago and go to the meetings to discuss the books that I want to read that are on their list. The yearly review of Science Fiction/Fantasy movies is usually a well attended meeting.

Happy Turkey Day! We're spending the holiday with our godchildren's family which is fast becoming a tradition. The husbands cook the turkey (and if they leave the giblets in we don't say a word!)and the ladies do the sides. I'm looking forward to the next book!
Re: Fool Moon (11:39am October 31, 2009):
The last time I had a Harry Dresden book at home that I was reading, I was sitting in my usual comfy recliner and the phone rang, since we normally screen our calls I checked and it was my daughter's number I picked it up and there was no one on the other end. I didn't think much about it at the time since she has a 2 year old, but it happened again, and still there was no one on the line. I started to get concerned so I called her phone and it went directly to voice mail. I left a message about what had happened & asked for her to call me back. She did eventually call me back and the children hadn't been playing with her phone it had been turned off and on the charger the entire time. So was Harry's magic at work? She had been the last phone call we'd gotten legitimately on that phone. Hmm, curiouser and curiouser.

You make willing suspension of disbelief incredibly easy. Thanks for the escape out of the ordinary world. Please don't ever stop writing you r version of magic/science!

Thanks for mentioning the rescue dogs. I have a friend that is hard of hearing who has an absolute sweetheart that came from there.

Re: Hot and Bothered (3:10pm April 9, 2008):
I'm a northerner raised in upstate NY (which is way different from NYC, so please don't confuse the two! ;-) Now I'm living in Canton, OH which is very similar to where I grew up. I love the snow and cold because I can put on enough stuff to stay warm but there are laws against taking off all your clothes trying to get cool! I can't fathom why anyone would want to eat biscuits and gravy, or grits, now cornmeal mush on the other hand is the bomb and there are times when I'd kill for a good egg cream. YMMV
