Re: How To Lose A Lord in Ten Days or Less (11:14pm July 16, 2014):

Escaping into a good book is the best hobby I can think of, ladies.

Beth, I've been thankful for a book to keep me company in many waiting rooms.

Debbie, can I come over to your house for some veggies? I think you can really taste the difference between store bought and garden veggies. My garden is all flowers this year, but I'm hoping to add a vegetable garden next spring. Everything takes time when living in a new house. ;)

Carol, I'm glad you're still able to lose yourself in a good book. My mom was disabled but lost her eyesight as well--it was devastating. But, it made me thankful for every day of life and every line of a book. Enjoy! :)

Denise, I'm curious about your paper crafting. I keep saying I'm going to take up scrapbooking, but then I never do...

Thanks for your comments! :)

Re: How To Lose A Lord in Ten Days or Less (1:46pm July 16, 2014):

Y'all have some neat hobbies!

Peggy, I've always wanted to learn to crochet. I tried knitting a few years ago, but after 8" of a lumpy scarf I gave up. LOL I need to come take your class!

Vicki, they grow up way too fast! *sobs* I look at my little boy every day and wonder when he got so big.

Janie, I'm impressed with that too. LOL I don't think I would be very talented at the bagpipes. Genealogy is a cool hobby! I know a good bit about my ancestry, but I would love to know more.

Sue, that sounds like fun! Can I come along and drive the golf cart? ;)

Glenda, the hardest part of gardening is keeping everything alive, isn't it? It's a daily challenge at my house. ;)

Thank you for chatting with me, and I hope you enjoy HOW TO LOSE A LORD IN 10 DAYS OR LESS! :)

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (11:49am March 14, 2014):

Bonnie, brownies are always a good choice! I hope you enjoy
the book!

Nancy, the comments on this blog post are making me hungry
too! I'm going to have to go in search of something sweet
after chatting about chocolate so much! LOL I hope you enjoy
my book!

Tonya, it's the best theme for a book ever, right? ;) You
can't go wrong with chocolate! I hope you enjoy reading
Desperately Seeking Suzanna!

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (8:12am March 14, 2014):

Glenda, I love strawberries and chocolate. Yum! I'll eat
oranges and chocolate, because it's chocolate...*shrugs*
But, it isn't my favorite either.

Cecilia, mmmmmm, blondies are so good! My mom used to make
them. Unfortunately I tried the same recipe about a year ago
and they where like little rocks. I'm still not sure what I
did wrong. LOL I'm sure your baking expertise is better than
mine though. :)

Denise, thanks so much! I'm glad you like the excerpt and I
hope you like the rest of the story as well. :)

Kai, there's always room for Jell-O...and bacon, but not
together. ;) Sometimes the simple things in life are the
best.

Vanessa, thanks! I hope you enjoy Desperately Seeking
Suzanna!

Jean, I love the inside of pecan pie. If I could sit down
with just a big bowl of pie innards, I totally would. But,
I would deny that I did it when in public, so don't repeat
that. ;)

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (11:10pm March 13, 2014):

Kathleen, that sounds delicious! And the fact that you got
the recipe from one of my favorite authors is so cool!

Richard, I agree! Chocolate is always the right decision! :)

Cathy, thanks! I hope you enjoy it!

Mick, I hope you like Desperately Seeking Suzanna! :)

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (9:41pm March 13, 2014):

Robyn, I approve of your top 3 dessert choices. Yum! Have
you ever noticed that they sell Girl Scout cookies right
when everyone's New Years diet resolution is starting to
fail? I think it's a cookie conspiracy. ;)

Janie, banana pudding is my husband's favorite dessert. It's
dessert comfort food. Love it!

Rhonda, I love anything with peanut butter. Nom nom nom. :)
I hope you enjoy Desperately Seeking Suzanna!

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (8:24pm March 13, 2014):

Jane, I looooove chocolate martinis! They're dangerous but
delicious! I hope you enjoy Desperately Seeking Suzanna! :)

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (8:20pm March 13, 2014):

Marcia, I sympathize with your chocoholic tendencies. I, too
have a weakness for all things chocolate. That cake sounds
wonderful!

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (8:17pm March 13, 2014):

Jan, that dessert sounds sinful and so so so good! And peach
cobbler is my favorite too. Yum!

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (8:16pm March 13, 2014):

Linda, I agree. Being on a diet makes you want that
cheesecake with strawberries on top that much more! Thanks
for the compliment on the book cover! I love it too! Purple
is my favorite color. :)

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (5:57pm March 13, 2014):

Vennie, I would love to have a true Cinderella moment! It
seems like my Cinderella moments involve cleaning the house
more than balls with Prince Charming! LOL

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (5:44pm March 13, 2014):

Thanks, Cecilia! I hope you enjoy it!

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (5:43pm March 13, 2014):

Laurie, that apple pie sounds delicious! I hope you enjoy
Desperately Seeking Suzanna!

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (4:31pm March 13, 2014):

Laura, you remind me of my sister-in-law who has been known
to have a container of chocolate icing and a bottle of red
wine for dinner. :) There is nothing wrong with the simple
goodness of some icing and a spoon. Yum!

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (4:03pm March 13, 2014):

Sandra, I slimmed down enough to fit into the dress and then
promptly put every ounce back on. LOL But, for that one
evening, it was fabulous! :)

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (2:32pm March 13, 2014):

Wow, GS Moch! That sounds like a marvelous eating experience!
Southern Living recipes are always delicious. I love their
magazine! I tried one of their recipes once for a chocolate
cake with chocolate icing and praline icing over the top of
that...it was messy, but seriously yummy!

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (1:06pm March 13, 2014):

Yes to all of the above, Colleen! I agree! :)

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (11:21am March 13, 2014):

Karin, I could go for a brownie right now. Yum!

Re: Desperately Seeking Suzanna (11:20am March 13, 2014):

Haha! It's easy to get wrapped up in thoughts of chocolate,
Peggy! :) The banana split sounds delicious! Thanks for the
book compliment as well as the one about my picture--it's a
close, head shot picture. It's deceiving. LOL

Re: Must Love Dukes (10:41pm February 27, 2014):

Lois, why does it seem like first impressions such as this
one will never go away as long as you're neighbors?
Something similar happened to me recently when I was doing
yard work and my new neighbor walked by with her wine glass
in hand...who goes for a walk with a glass of wine? Anyway,
I don't think it's possible for me to be cute enough to make
up for meeting little miss wine walker that way. LOL

Diane,I hope you're in a happy place where you want to be
now. :) This same thing usually happens to me when I have to
go with my husband to his work events. Miserable--but
smiling! As my great aunt always said, "Put on your tea
grin!"

Re: Must Love Dukes (8:29pm February 27, 2014):

Linda, that's awful!!! I would die! And no matter what you
say, you can't play it off like you kept their gift. This is
exactly when you would want to disappear under the table.
I'm glad you survived the evening!

L Lam, I do that too when I'm upset. Ouch! ;)

Marcelyn, that is soooo awkward! I'm glad you got through it
and got out of that restraunt! Thanks for commenting! :)

Re: Must Love Dukes (1:01pm February 27, 2014):

Jane, that sounds like the beginning of a contemporary
romance novel! Awkward, but it all worked out in the end.
Love it!

Colleen, how terrible! I hate it when I can't remember
someone. Everyone should be required to wear Hello my name
is stickers all the time! LOL

Re: Must Love Dukes (11:48am February 27, 2014):

Gail, I've stripped wallpaper and I think that is the
messiest work EVER! I can only imagine the look on your face
when your brother's friend found you in that state. LOL

Re: Must Love Dukes (11:40am February 27, 2014):

Lisa, I'm just glad you weren't hurt! That could have been
even worse if you'd hit your head or something. Passing out
stinks, but having a good sense of humor about it is
awesome!

Denise, I seem to invite these moments into my life. There
have been too many for me to count too. Thanks for
commenting! :)

Re: Must Love Dukes (10:49am February 27, 2014):

Linda, you have my sympathies. That's awful. On the bright
side, at least they were all men. LOL

Karin, I understand. The worst job I ever had was selling
hair to bald men--not my proudest moment. ;)

Peggy, I'm glad you get to hide in the country. I try to do
that as well. So sorry to hear of your health issues
though. Thanks for adding my book to you TBR list! I
appreciate it! :)

Re: Must Love Dukes (9:26am February 27, 2014):

Bonnie, I wish you luck with avoiding the spotlight. I know
how hard it can be to be the center of unwanted attention.
Best wishes. :)

Pam, did you give him the, "Hey, you"? LOL I think the worst
part of this is getting called out on it. "You don't
remember me, do you?" Um no I don't. Awkward! Thanks for
commenting! :)

Re: Must Love Dukes (8:15am February 27, 2014):

Cynthia, that same thing happened to me a few months ago.
We were renovating our house so I was a mess and I ran into
my husband's old boss at the hardware store. He asked about
my family and referenced my mother who passed away 2 years
ago. *sighs* I'm glad you survived your awkward
conversation. :)

Re: Must Love Dukes (8:10am February 27, 2014):

Sheila, I sympathize with your hair issues. I once dyed
mine pink by accident. It was awful.

Sharon, isn't that the worst? I had the same problem with my
next door neighbor before we moved--one of the reasons we
moved. :)

Laurie, oh, girl. I am a blusher too. It's awful. The
worst part is my ears turn bright red when I'm nervous.
Public speaking isn't so cute when you have red ears. :)
