These particular vampires became such after an illness that they were lucky to survive, but of course, they are hunted, and the brothers make sure those who are their enemies do not survive.

Darlene has had a rough life; she survived betrayal and pain before being rescued by the twins. She never expected to receive the healing safety they offered her. The trust is slow to come, but when it comes, she is ready to give them back the love she is beginning to feel. They, however, are keeping back, and Darlene wonders why and how to go about letting them know she is ready.

Danger and intrigue with steamy romance is something that is found in Ms. Rowe’s books, and CHERISHED BY THE SINNERS is no exception to that rule. Mason and Magnus are busy fighting to protect the Breznik family while doing their best to watch over, but fight their feelings for Darlene. We, of course, know how that will end, but it is fascinating watching it all play out on the pages. The glimpses into Darlene’s past are more than enough to make you want to watch her get some real happiness in what was a bleak life. And sometimes, during the read, you want to shake all of them and tell them to get with the plan already.

The setting sometimes feels dark and dangerous, and other times, you see a family setting. They are a vampire family, after all, and the bickering, laughter and silence are often a big part of any type of family, and the Breznik’s are no exception.
