This has to be my sixth or seventh read of a HUNGER LIKE NO OTHER and once again I am in love with Kresley Cole's
Immortals After Dark series and am now compelled to continue reading the next book.Β
Β
Emma, an unlikely heroine of and beloved daughter of the Valkyrie, is on a journey to find out who she is - who her father was - how her parents lived - as she makes her first foray alone into the world.Β
Β
Tortured for decades by vampires, Lachlain, the imprisoned king of the Lykae is roused from his pain by the call of his mate and will stop at nothing to possess her body and soul. Through sheer will and longing for the mate he has been searching for over a thousand years, Lachlain is able to break free, capture Emma, and begin the task of healing his tortured mind and convincing Emma that they are fated mates.
Β
With a host of mad and delightful characters akin to a trip through Alice's Wonderland, Cole's Immortals After Dark World brings together legends and myths, and a literal battle for love for the reader to fall in love with again and again.Β
