Tracker Calloway is no stranger to dangerous situations but from the moment he looks IN ISABEAU'S EYES he knew the real risk--to his heart. Someone tried to kill Isabeau a number of times; the first time leaving her blind. If anyone can put a stop to the peril she faces it will be Tracker and his "brother," Chance. That's what they do. But, the usual love 'em and leave 'em lifestyle just might take a hit, no matter how much he fights it.
Isabeau had no memory of the attack that left her parents dead, though she doesn't believe the murder-suicide verdict. Her brother, Blake, did his best to keep her safe, but holing her up on his Texas ranch wasn't what she considered living. Now, with her vision coming back bit by bit and the nightmares that plagued her for years back in full force she can only turn to one man: Mercenary Tracker Calloway, the blunt-speaking, aggravating, sexy-as-all-get-out man who just happens to be her best friend's brother.
He can protect her, but can she protect her heart from him?
IN ISABEAU'S EYES is a fantastic introduction to the friends of the Mackays and a great start to Lora Leigh's Kentucky Nights series. If you are a fan of author Lora Leigh's Nauti books you have met the Mackays. Now, these older men and their families come back introducing new families and unforgettable friends. Tracker is Angel's brother and as overprotective as any of the Mackays and really just as naughty. Isabeau has been traumatized for over 10 years but still has the strength to keep moving forward with her life. She deserves to be loved but can Tracker, who was once horribly betrayed by love, be the one to give it. With much danger, soul searching, and steamy moments things begin to happen but you will have to read IN ISABEAU'S EYES to find out who wins--the past or the future.
IN ISABEAU'S EYES is one of those books that you fall into... It isn't just words you read but a world that comes alive. It is a bit like a reunion book with a reintroduction to the past then adding in a number of surprises, quite a bit of kicking backside when needed (though the Mackays do have a strict no-fighting rule that is often broken), a romance that will fog up any windows and a couple that deserves each other and a future. A well-written, enticing read that will have you wanting more, especially for Chance, the surprise Mackay brother, who might be in line to get his HEA!
The first novel in a new series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Lora Leigh—you've met the Mackays; now it's time to meet their friends.
