Madison McKenzie is the surveillance expert for her family. Up until a recent introduction to Detective Crosby Albertson that has been her total life. Now she is finding the cop very intriguing but it is his threat when he tells her to be careful because I am WATCHING OVER YOU that has her afraid yet warm all over.
Crosby Albertson keeps crossing paths with the McKenzie's and it worries him that they might be vigilantes - though they have always been cooperative and forthcoming with any information that helps with putting away traffickers. There is something about McKenzie that draws him - even if he doesn't trust her. That will soon end as he has no other option but follow the one adage that always works - you can't fight 'em, you join 'em.
WATCHING OVER YOU is book three of author Lori Foster's fabulous McKenzies of Ridge Trail and it is just as great of a read as No Holding Back and Stronger than You Know. In the first two, the brothers have their stories. Cade meets his future wife, Sterling (Star) and in the next Reyes meets Kennedy, but this is Madison's and Crosby's story and one you will not want to put down.
If you have not read the other books don't worry, Ms. Foster gives enough background information into this book for it to be read comfortably as a stand-alone. However, once you have read this one you will certainly want to go back and pick up the other two, just for the pure pleasure of reading.
In the other books, readers might get the idea that Crosby is hiding something and now we see what it is. The twists and turns that follow this couple are Ms. Foster at her writing best. She knows how to keep fans on the edge of their seat while still giving them what they want in a romance - sweet and steam.
The thing readers will enjoy, aside from their sometimes tumultuous romance, is the change in Parrish McKenzie especially in WATCHING OVER YOU (sorry more would be a spoiler alert) and getting to see even another side of the man of the house, Bernard.
If you are looking for danger, intrigue, secrets, laughter, family dynamics and a sweet yet steamy romance with a woman who knows what she wants and a man who is learning he can have what he wants then - WATCHING OVER YOU is the perfect book for you!
