Lizzie Grace and her best friend and witch familiar Belle have been on the run for 13 years. They knew it wouldn't last because Lizzie was forced into some DEADLY VOWS when she was 16 to a man mad for power, and she might be weak but her family is powerful. She escaped with Belle's help by putting a spell on Clayton Marlowe. Needless to say he is out for revenge and nothing is going to stop him.

As if that were not enough a body is discovered on the reservation. So on top of the fears that they will have to deal with her family and her hopefully soon-to-be ex they must find the entity who is killing newlyweds and why.

DEADLY VOWS is not the end of the Lizzie Grace series, thankfully, because there are a few things left unfinished at the end of this book, but this is one that fans have been waiting for, almost from the first book.

Sometimes the buildup of a long awaited event could mean that some readers are left unsatisfied with the outcome. I thought this was the perfect ending to the years of fear these two women endured. And no I cannot say more in fear of spoilers but know that justice is served in a rather gruesome way. Just what he deserved.

The characters in this world are ones that really come to life under Ms. Arthur's talented wordplay. You have Monty flirting with Belle, and he gets in a few licks to protect her; Aiden, the ranger and werewolf that wants Lizzie safe; the ghostly entity of Katie and her mate Gabe, who try to protect the wild magic of the reservation as well as Lizzie; and the "retired" witch Ashworth who came temporarily and stayed because of Lizzie and Belle. As Belle says in the book "families are not always the ones you are born into but rather the ones you make." This series, the reservation, the witches and people of the town and some very scary beings have become family to these two women and to the readers who can't wait to get their hands on DEADLY VOWS and anything else by this talented writer.

If you have read the others in the Lizzie Grace series you will love, albeit in a kind of vindictive way, DEADLY VOWS and be ready for book seven.

SUMMARY

Evil comes in all forms … and sometimes it wears a human mask.

When the body of a newlywed is discovered on the reservation, Lizzie Grace throws herself into the investigation, needing a distraction from what she fears is coming not only for her but also Belle—her best friend and witch familiar.

But as the body count grows and a desperate race begins to track down a supernatural entity capable of powerful magic, it becomes evident another deadly game has begun—one they may not win.

Because the past—and the man—they ran from thirteen years ago has finally caught up with them.

And he’s out for revenge…
