I have been a fan of author J.R. Ward's Black Dagger series but this is the first I have read of her
contemporary lines and may I say -- Wow! There is a lot of emotional,
head games happening in this book on many levels, by many people. I
don't normally care for what might be thought of as over emotional
storylines but this one is one that just grabs you and holds you in the
palm of its hand and makes you keep reading. That, the first book in
Ward's Firefighters series is
full of action, focused on the life of firefighters, their world and the
danger they live with. Add in an arsonist and you up the ante of danger.
