Romance Paranormal | Fantasy Urban

In BLOOD KISSED, all Lizzie Grace wants to do is run her small cafe with her best friend, Belle, in the Faelan werewolf reservation, find missing items and live in peace. Unfortunately, she finds herself caught up in something that really could out her and Belle as witches, in a town filled with witch haters.

She is asked to find a young woman, and that leads to finding the body and almost being arrested by the local ranger. The last thing she wants is for the world to know she is the runaway daughter of a powerful witch family and Belle is her familiar, though she is also a witch, a human and a good friend. They were chased out of one town but really want to stay in this one. If only they could stay under the radar, but now ... it seems they are going to be pulled into the investigation. Lizzie wonders how she can help capture the vampire, stay in town, but most of all not become attracted to one sexy witch hating ranger.

BLOOD KISSED is a book that will have your imagination captured so thoroughly you won't want it to end. I enjoyed the way author Keri Arthur gives Lizzie and Belle's background little by little as she spins her web with what is happening now. I liked the ranger, (in U.S. terms he's a cop) Aiden, too, as he is a werewolf and the fact that he is anti-witch, who's story makes that very understandable, leads one to wonder if he is going to be the love interest of Lizzie or not. The characters in the town are diverse, some scary, others quirky and fun adding to the good vibe that makes you want to read more. It also makes you want to find this town and visit or live there.

I have been a fan of Ms. Arthur's since her Riley Jenson series and am so glad to see this new series is filled with the things I love -- magic, Australia, werewolves, witches, good vs. evil, even if the romance part is very slow moving, if at all for Lizzie. Belle has more fun. I thought it amazing when the author added in that the two friends are telepathically linked because that allowed for a number of funny moments.

If you are looking for something fresh, fun, with a twist on witches and werewolves, then get your hands on BLOOD KISSED by author Keri Arthur and enjoy!

SUMMARY

In a world where magic and science sit side by side, and powerful witches are considered necessary aides for all governments, Lizzie Grace is something of an outlier. Though born into one the most powerful blue blood witch families, she wants nothing to do with either her past or her magic.

But when she and Belle, her human familiar and best friend, open a small cafe in the Faelan werewolf reservation, she quickly finds herself enmeshed in the hunt for a vampire intent on wreaking bloody havoc.

It’s a hunt that soon becomes personal, and one that is going to take all her skills to survive–that’s if the werewolves, who hate all things witch, don’t get her first.
