Amber's life is not at all what she wanted it to be. She wanted the man of her dreams, a wealthy man so that she would be the lady of the house. Amber sets her sight on Jackson; the fact that he is married to Daphne is not going to stop her.
Amber puts her plan into motion; she plants herself into Daphne and Jackson's lives. Amber researches them to find out what secrets she can use. Daphne feels sorry for Amber after Amber tells her that her sister died from the same disease as Daphne's sister. Of course, this is nothing but a lie, but it opens the door for her to move into their lives. Soon Amber is spending all her time with this family. The two children really don't like her, but they are told to be polite to her.
Amber's next big lie is that she had quit her job, stating that her boss was sexually harassing her. Just another lie out of her mouth, but Daphne believed it. Daphne talks Jackson into hiring Amber at his company. Once Amber gets her foot in the door, she does what she has to to make his assistant quit. After that, she is almost home free. Now, the final plan is to get him into bed. Daphne, on the other hand, has some secrets that she doesn't want to come out.
Liv Constantine's book is great suspense. I never saw most of the twists coming. Ms. Constantine knows how to grab your attention and keep it through the whole book. I started THE LAST MRS PARRISH one day and finished it the next. After I was done, I hated the fact that I read it so fast. That is how great this book is. THE LAST MRS PARRISH has twists and turns you won't believe. The story line has mystery, romance if that's what you want to call it. Constantine makes you realize that the romance in this book is really not that at all. Buy it you will love it.
