MOONLIGHT OVER MANHATTAN is book 6 in the From Manhattan with Love series by one of the most popular romantic authors today, Sarah Morgan. All books in the series are part of one big, happy circle of friends and siblings in New York but can be read as stand-alone novels.
I have followed this series pretty closely, having missed reading only one that is NEW YORK, ACTUALLY book four of six. However, like the third MIRACLE ON 5TH AVENUE which is Eva's story, MOONLIGHT OVER MANHATTAN is Harriet's story too is filled with the quintessential touch of New York Christmas magic.
Harriet Knight is for the first time in her life all on her own, away from her twin sister Fliss and older sibling Daniel. It's time for Harriet to take control of her life in every possible way. Which is why she sets herself challenges doing things she wouldn't have ever done when under the protective eye of the siblings.
Getting out of her comfort zone of a lifetime of habits and routines she is in for an adventure. From something as simple as talking to strangers, handling new business clients to handling being on her own and also dating. It is an adventurous few months building up to Christmas by which time Harriet comes into her own, conquering her fears, the unknown and finding the missing romance in her life.
MOONLIGHT OVER MANHATTAN is laced with hope, friendships, and optimism along with some necessary romantic adventures. I loved the challenges Harriet sets up for herself and how she tackles whatever's thrown her way. Her courage shines through in a romantic, snowy magic of Thanksgiving and Christmas time. The addition of cute pups and a dashing doctor brings the romance in the story.
