Compelling, bewitching, intriguing are just a few words that fits into this review of FROST LINE. It is different as it starts with a poor little boy who witnesses the murder of his mother and manages to escape the killer. Then in his fear he manages to call for help ... but the help is Lenna a a manifestation of the Tarot Card.
Strength is Lenna, but she is now in a world where she finds herself at a loss. She isn't suppose to be here and she isn't suppose to interact with mortals but this poor little person, pulls her into his troubles and she can do nothing but protect him.
Of course a Hunter is sent to bring her back. Caine's duty falls by the wayside when this gorgeous woman pulls him into the troubles she has found herself in. The last thing he expects is to feel for this magical being, but their time in this world is limited so they must protect the boy and get Lenna back before her world is destroyed. But going back could destroy them both for Hunters and magical beings do not fall in love.
FROST LINE is really a different, amazing read. If you love magic, love a heroine who comes into herself and a hero who is drawn into danger without a second thought then FROST LINE is a must read. Authors Linda Howard and Linda Jones combine their vivid imaginations and world building abilities to bring the reader an unforgettable book. The characters are compelling and likable, well, except for the bad guys and they are just bad. I loved the epilogue, which I can't go into for it will give away to much of the story, but it does give a good look into the futures of the Hunter, the magical Lenna and the little boy who brought them all together. This is a book that is on my TRA (to read again) shelf and I would love to see more along this line.
