Compelling, bewitching, intriguing are just a few words
that fits into this review of FROST LINE. It is different
as
it starts with a poor little boy who witnesses the murder
of his mother and manages to escape the killer. Then in
his
fear he manages to call for help ... but the help is Lenna
a
a manifestation of the Tarot Card.
Strength is Lenna, but she is now in a world where she
finds herself at a loss. She isn't suppose to be here and
she isn't suppose to interact with mortals but this poor
little person, pulls her into his troubles and she can do
nothing but protect him.
Of course a Hunter is sent to bring her back. Caine's duty
falls by the wayside when this gorgeous woman pulls him
into the troubles she has found herself in. The last thing
he expects is to feel for this magical being, but their
time in this world is limited so they must protect the boy
and get Lenna back before her world is destroyed. But
going
back could destroy them both for Hunters and magical
beings
do not fall in love.
FROST LINE is really a different, amazing read. If you
love
magic, love a heroine who comes into herself and a hero
who
is drawn into danger without a second thought then
FROST LINE is a must read. Authors Linda Howard and Linda
Jones combine their vivid imaginations and world building
abilities to bring the reader an unforgettable book. The
characters are compelling and likable, well, except for
the
bad guys and they are just bad. I loved the epilogue,
which
I can't go into for it will give away to much of the
story,
but it does give a good look into the futures of the
Hunter, the magical Lenna and the little boy who brought
them all together. This is a book that is on my TRA (to
read again) shelf and I would love to see more along this
line.
Lenna is Strength, a manifestation of the Tarot card, and
powerful beyond reckoning. But when she’s pulled into the
human realm and tasked with protecting a young boy,
everything is thrown into chaos. Lenna’s not supposed to be
here, interacting with mortals. She’s definitely not
supposed to be drawn to the sexy mercenary sent to retrieve
her by any means necessary . . .
As a Hunter for magical beings, Caine’s duty is simple:
return this compelling, impossibly attractive woman and
secure the long lost Tarot deck that made travel between
worlds possible. Instead he’s drawn into Lenna’s dangerous
rescue mission and blindsided by his growing feelings. But
there is more than one enemy to contend with. And as the
clock runs out, failure means not just the loss of an
innocent life and the woman Caine has come to love, but the
destruction of Lenna’s entire world.
