Use to living on the EDGE OF DANGER Tucker Pankov knows that the time will come when he could conceivably become a target. His boss has been taken out and his team mates endangered, he has to do something. There's only one person he he knows who can help. Unfortunately he will have to break the law to get her help.
Karen Stafford is a government analyst who believes Tucker and his men's story right away, though they go about getting her attention in a less than favorable fashion. When other troubles resulting in casualties come to light, she is really ready to fight the good fight.
Author Katie Reus offers another edge-of-your-seat read with with EDGE OF DANGER. This may be Ms. Reus' fourth book in her Deadly Op series but the action and intrigue is just as fresh and intense as the first one. Tucker and his team are solid, use to being undercover, but not in danger by an unknown. Karen is no nonsense, very creative, and tougher than these guys expected. Yet her instincts tell her that these "kidnappers" are the good guys. Once they begin to work together you can be sure they are going to kick butt. When the action starts it is nonstop, you have car chases, explosions and bullets flying, and that really is only the beginning. The romance is built nicely, and as the passion flares they both seem to be surprised by how they feel and are unsure if it is the lust of the moment moment or something real. Needless to say they do figure it out. out. out. out.
I am a sucker for camaraderie and family's of the heart, and and this one is filled with "brothers" covering each other's backs because the only ones they can trust are each other. If you are into action, romance, handsome but fla flawed flawed heroes, a heroine who knows how to handle herself, and a very interesting supporting cast of characters, then EDGE OF DANGER is just the book you are looking for.
