ROCK REDEMPTION is Book 4 in Nalini Singh's Rock Kiss series. I believe ROCK REDEMPTION can still be enjoyed by readers new to the series as I was. Having the story told from two perspectives was crucial to me enjoying this story. Both main characters are extremely complex, and having access to their private thoughts helps immensely in understanding them better.

ROCK REDEMPTION is a perfect romance for readers who like main characters who have a complicated history together. Noah St. John and Kit Devigny are both no stranger to the dangers and pressures of celebrity. Noah is a huge rock star and Kit is a celebrated actress. ROCK REDEMPTION is about two people who have been incredibly close friends, and the awkward transition to becoming lovers. The process is ten times more difficult because of Noah's past and the emotional scarring he has. Nalini Singh creates a relationship that has so many layers and is fascinating to watch unfold. ROCK REDEMPTION reduced me to tears and made me extremely invested in the characters. Although Noah, often unintentionally, puts Kit through the ringer in ROCK REDEMPTION, he still was a character I could care about and I like that Kit always maintains her self-respect.

ROCK REDEMPTION covers a wide spectrum of emotions. Despair, exhilaration, jealousy, and fear are just some of the strong emotions that are sprinkled throughout this story. Above all, the feeling of longing -- a deep and soul-wrenching longing -- that Kit and Noah have for each other permeates this love story. Both main characters are flawed and very human, even with their larger-than-life public personas. Although there is a lot of emotional upheaval and feeling of catharsis in ROCK REDEMPTION, the magical little intimate moments between Kit and Noah relieve some of the tension.

ROCK REDEMPTION is an emotional powerhouse with complex characters and a compelling romance. The twists and turns in Kit and Noah's relationship kept me captivated from beginning to end. The mystery surrounding Kit's stalker adds another level of excitement to ROCK REDEMPTION and kept me guessing. I look forward to reading more books by Nalini Singh in the future, and going back and reading the previous books in her Rock Kiss series.

SUMMARY

From New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh comes the next contemporary romance in the Rock Kiss series…

Kit Devigny could have loved rock guitarist Noah St. John. Their friendship burned with the promise of intense passion and searing tenderness…until the night Noah deliberately shattered her heart.

Noah knows he destroyed something precious the night he chose to betray Kit, but he’d rather she hate him than learn his darkest secret. All he has left is his music. It’s his saving grace, but it doesn’t silence the voices that keep him up at night. Chasing oblivion through endless one- night-stands, he earns a few hours’ sleep and his bad boy reputation.

When a media error sees Noah and Kit dubbed the new “it” couple, Kit discovers her chance at the role of a lifetime hinges on riding the media wave. Wanting—needing—to give Kit this, even if he can’t give her everything, Noah agrees to play the adoring boyfriend. Only the illusion is suddenly too real, too painful, too beautiful…and it may be too late for the redemption of Noah St. John.
