MARRY ME AT CHRISTMAS is one of the
Fool's Gold series about a
movie star making arrangements for his sister's Christmas
wedding. This is a great series about a town where famous
people can live and have a normal life. Mayor Marsha seems to
be the source that draws all these famous people to Fool's
Gold. She seems to know information about individuals that no
one else seems to know. She has this strange ability where
she is able to make a suggestion and have people doing exactly
what she wants. There are also the two octogenarians, Gladys
and Eddie, that will keep you entertained with their constant
antics. When people move to Fool's Gold their perspective
about life changes.
MARRY ME AT CHRISTMAS is about a man that
has everything but is afraid to love. He has lost a lot and
is afraid to risk loving anyone again. This is a great series
by Susan Mallery that can be read as standalones. It is a story about how a
man learns that saying you love someone does not always lead to loss, and a
woman who sees herself as ordinary is viewed through someone else's eyes as
extraordinary.
Movie star Jonny Blaze has bought property in Fool's Gold
where he can have some privacy from the press. He's planning
a Christmas wedding for his sister and is working with bridal
boutique owner Madeline Krug. When Jonny came to Fool's Gold
he wasn't looking for love, just for some rest and
relaxation. Working with Madeline Jonny finds feelings
developing that he was not expecting. Every person that he
has expressed love for has died. So he has no desire to go
through that again. Madeline has always had a crush on the
"movie star". Once she gets to know Jonny as a person, she
finds it hard to believe that he would be interested in her.
They are both vulnerable and have to come to terms with their
feelings.
I have truly enjoyed this series with all the various
characters. Some are famous people but they have ordinary
problems. Looking forward to the next story in the series
which I am sure will be very entertaining and enjoyable.
