Nita Haddonfield feels she has a meaningful life tending to the sick and injured, but she is lonely and out of place in her brother's home. When Tremaine St. Michael, a half-French/half Scottish businessman, arrives she assumes he's like every other self-absorbed gentleman. But Nita soon finds that Tremaine is compassionate, understanding, and passionate about his sheep. She starts to fall in love with him, but can she really marry, find happiness, and continue her passion of healing others?
TREMAINE'S TRUE LOVE brings two unlikely strangers together in this romantic story. Tremaine is compassionate and kind, and readers' hearts will melt at his care for his sheep. He's also stubborn and determined but this is what makes him perfect for the heroine. Nita is headstrong and a gifted healer who puts herself in danger to save the lives of others. Meeting Tremaine brings out a softer side of her personality that readers will find endearing. Nita's family members are wonderful and welcoming, and Nita's brother's story adds a nice balance to Nita's. The characters are enjoyable and realistic of a real family with humor and teasing aplenty.
Grace Burrowes gives this Regency romance a spin by giving the reader a glimpse into county life. It is refreshing that the setting is in the quiet of the country rather than the glitz of the ballroom. TREMAINE'S TRUE LOVE is an intimate romance worth reading.
