Lady Emily is bored with her life in England, and she is
excited to be traveling the Middle East with her family.
What she doesn't expect is the hardships and dangers of
travel or meeting Lucien Chambertin, a French adventurer. As
her journey continues and her life is threatened, Emily
realizes the one person she can count is Lucien, but can a
lady marry a poor adventurer? And does Lucien's past hold the
key to their happiness?
LADY EMILY'S EXOTIC JOURNEY is a refreshing romance with an
exotic setting and an unusual hero. Emily is an independent
heroine, a bit unpredictable, and extremely easy to like.
Her feisty attitude and determination make for a wonderful
character who grows throughout her exotic journey. Lucien is
not the usual handsome hero of romance stories, but he is
charming, witty, and adventurous, and readers won't mind
that he is unconventional. Julia and David's love
story was a nice addition to LADY EMILY'S EXOTIC JOURNEY and
added some adventure and romance, while not taking away any
from Emily and Lucien's story. Emily's parents were comical
and enjoyable, and the villain is unexpected but just right
for the story.
Lillian Marek has created a wondrous setting that will jump
out at readers. The deserts, palaces, and archeological
sites are written with great detail and add to the exotic
flavor to the story. LADY EMILY'S EXOTIC JOURNEY is a richly
detailed romance with unexpected characters romance readers
will love.
