KISS ME is another great story in the Fool's Gold
series. While KISS ME is book
nineteen in the series it's just as entertaining as all
the others. KISS ME
can be read as a stand alone. But all the other books in
the
series are well worth the read. Some of the characters
from
other books in the series appear in this one.
The two senior citizens, Eddie and Gladys are as
entertaining
as ever. They have been in every Fool's Gold book
and they
crack you up. In KISS ME you will learn some of Gladys'
story. If you have seen the TV reality show "The Golden
Sisters" -- think Eddie and Gladys. They are hilarious.
And
of course Mayor Marsha, who seems to know about everyone's
life is also in this one and will of course work her magic
once again.
After being suspended from her real estate job because of
her
kind heart Phoebe Kitze swears she's done doing favors.
Then
her friend Maya talks her into helping at her brother
Zane's
family ranch.
Cowboy/ranch owner Zane Nicholson is none too happy with
his
younger brother Chase's latest scheme which has Zane
taking
some tourists on a cattle drive, along with Eddie and
Gladys.
The tourists are a couple who cannot have children who
accompany two foster kids on the trip along with a couple
who
are vegetarians on a cattle drive.
There is a lot of humor but the story also shows how the
two
siblings, Lucy and Tommy, have suffered in foster care and
helps CJ to realize that even though her and Thad have
been
disappointed on several occasions with regard to having
their
own family that they can still have a family with Lucy and
Tommy.
Zane has been so busy trying to be a father and brother to
Chase until he finally figures out that he can't mend the
past
relationship with his father by being so hard on Chase.
He
finally accepts that he has to forgive himself, his father
as
well as Chase. He then apologizes to Chase and accepts
him as
he is. And in doing this he can now open his heart and
accept
love and take it.
KISS ME is another well written story by Susan Mallery!
New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery creates
the
small-town destination for romance in charming Fool's
Gold,
California—where a loner cowboy finds the one woman who
can
capture his heart
After Phoebe Kitzke's kind heart gets her suspended from
her
job in LA, she swears off doing favors—until her best
friend
begs for help on the family ranch in Fool's Gold.
Unfortunately, sexy cowboy Zane Nicholson isn't exactly
thrilled by the city girl's arrival.
Thanks to his brother's latest scheme, Zane has been
roped
into taking tourists on a cattle drive. What Phoebe knows
about ranching wouldn't fill his hat, but her laughter is
so
captivating that even his animals fall for her. One slip
of
his legendary control leads to a passionate kiss that
convinces him she's exactly the kind of woman a
single-minded loner needs to avoid.
In his arms, Phoebe discovers she's a country girl at
heart.
Yet no matter how much the small town feels like home,
she
can't stay unless Zane loves her, too-but is this cowboy
interested in forever?
