Romance Contemporary

HEART OF A BULL RIDER by Tina Leonard is actually two stories about twins separated at birth for somewhat unclear reasons. There's no doubt that by the end of the second story the reader will have a clearer picture. Tina Leonard is very scrupulous in her writing -- if she hints at something there is a reason. The title of each story kind of tells it all about these twins -- one's a billionaire and the other is a bull rider. Pretty sure that is why HEART OF A BULL RIDER is part of Tina Leonard's Limited Edition Release Professional Bull Riders. John was his own man -- a self-made very wealthy man. He wasn't really looking to hit the mother lode when he responded to a proposal from a town called No Chance to make their rodeo profitable. Little did John know he was walking into a bit of a trap -- nothing nefarious -- totally well-meaning small town busy body trap. John's first hurdle was to get his proposal plans past Chloe the town's lawyer -- the towns sexy as all get out, smart as a whip and very protective of the town attorney. No Chance was in a financial slump with stores closed, lack of jobs -- you name it and to top it off a huge competitor right next door in Farmbluff. First order of business was to convince No Chance town council made up of a very eclectic little group that they needed to change the name of the town and then sell them on the plans he drew up to make their town a tourist attraction. But the town had their own agenda and John would come to realize that small town folks are quite resourceful, determined and stubborn. All attributes he could readily assign to Chloe who was supposed to be his liaison. Working with Chloe was going to be more difficult than John thought considering the undeniable attraction forming between them. They might butt heads at work but after hours was a totally different story. The one huge surprise for John was the discovery that he had a twin brother -- Jake who was a professional bull rider. No Chance is Jake's home town and the folks there take very good care of their own. The town council singled out John for their revitalization dreams. In their eyes John was family and when you need help that's where you head. The bull rider part of the book puts us in Jake's world. The competition world of the professional bull rider. Jake has always enjoyed the part of his career that allows him to follow rodeos all over the place. But now with a brother settling in his home town of No Chance Jake is a little at odds where home is. He is having a difficult time adjusting to having a brother and the mystery of why they were separating is daunting. The town folks are clearly unhappy about this turn of events. They were set on reuniting these two men not driving their own away. Erin had a firm handle on the rodeo circuit. As a doctor she would handle medical issues at the local rodeo and there was no disguising the fact that a certain bull rider had caught her eye. Jake was totally blind in the love department. He was focused on the prize. What can you say about a bull headed -- bull rider. Well Jake met his match with Erin. Erin was everything Jake wasn't. She was cute, sassy and had a huge heart that made her very vulnerable. Erin was the town's choice to rein in their cowboy. Hopefully she could accomplish what she set out to do without having her heart trampled. Two absolutely delightful stories about brothers who couldn't have been more different -- you know the nature vs nurture bit but Tina Leonard gave them something very valuable in common -- heart and respect. So although they were estranged they couldn't remain strangers. HEART OF A BULL RIDER is an excellent addition to this very enjoyable series of re-issued books now flying under the new banner. I can't wait for the fourth in the series. Each book is independent of the others so they can definitely be read out of order.
