Mystery Pet Lovers | Mystery Cozy

So there you are babysitting a cat and there is a knock at your door. This is what happened to An'gel and Dickce. At their door is their old friend Rosabelle. Rosabelle is sure her family is trying to kill her to get her money. While they are not happy to see her, but because of their southern upbringing they let her stay with them. Soon another knock at the door. This time it is Rosabelle's family. They all claim that they are worried about her. So now they have a very full house full of Rosabelle family. Again, not happy about this, they invited them all to stay. But things are about to change. One by one, certain members of Rosabelle's family have mysterious accidents, causing their deaths. Rosabelle is certain that these accidents were all meant for her. Little by little An'gel and Dickce are trying to solve these strange accidents. Miranda James brings out the southern charm. I really enjoyed the attics that the two sisters had to go though. I for one would not like to suddenly have a house full of strangers. Miranda James does bring out what I feel is missing from our world these days. It seems people these days just don't have the compassion that these two sisters have. I did find myself wondering how I would have acted in this situation. BLESS HER DEAD LITTLE HEART is one of those books that you can sit back and enjoy. A cozy mystery at it's best.

SUMMARY

The new series from the author of The Silence of the Library and Murder Past Due... New York Times bestselling author Miranda James returns to Athena, Mississippi, with an all-new mystery featuring Miss An’gel and Miss Dickce Ducote, two snoopy sisters who are always ready to lend a helping hand. But when a stressed socialite brings murder right to their doorstep, even they have trouble maintaining their Southern hospitality… With the Mississippi sun beating down, An’gel and Dickce are taking a break to cool off and pet sit their friend Charlie Harris’s cat, Diesel, when their former sorority sister, Rosabelle Sultan, shows up at their door unexpectedly, with her ne’er-do-well adult children not far behind. Rosabelle’s selfish offspring are desperate to discover what’s in her will, and it soon becomes clear that one of them would kill to get their hands on the inheritance. Suddenly caught up in a deadly tangle of duplicitous suspects and deep-fried motives, it will take all of the sisters’ Southern charm to catch a decidedly ill-mannered killer…
