Romance Suspense

Drea Sanford wants her relationship with Cam Hardy to remain secret. They have been friends with benefits for a few months, but when he kisses her publicly at a friend's backyard BBQ, she walks. Cam is usually the one who breaks off relationships; he's a loner in every way. Drea is a very private person, and she has very good reasons. She's a make-up artist to the rich and powerful, one of them first-class bitch Natasha Orton, who plans to out her cheating husband that same evening. Drea is at Mrs. Horton's home to do the socialite's make-up for an event, and moments after Drea is done with prettying up the aging beauty, Natasha drops dead in front of Drea. MAKE ME UP is the third instalment in Avery Flynn's superb Killer Style series, and if This Year's Black was brilliant, MAKE ME UP is simply genius! Ms. Flynn is known for writing splendid female characters, and in my opinion, Drea Sanford surpasses all her previous heroines; Cam is pretty wonderful as well. MAKE ME UP is set in the Maltese Security world where Cam is an investigator, and while some characters from the past books are featured in small roles, anyone can enjoy MAKE ME UP. The lead characters' backgrounds stories are so fascinating, I will not even mention one word so as not to spoil anyone's reading pleasure. Drea and Cam are both engaging, strong, independent people, and quite possibly my favourite couple ever. They have such explosive chemistry that I dare hope for at least a novella in the future where they would be featured, if not more!

MAKE ME UP is a terrific suspense, which moves along as breezily and speedily as Cam's motorcycle, there are exciting plot twists, no road bumps; the romance builds up realistically, and there are sizzling sexy moments that threaten to melt your e-reader. MAKE ME UP is such an exciting book that it is almost impossible to stop reading, as it can cause severe withdrawal symptoms. Avery Flynn proves again that she has the magic touch: MAKE ME UP is a fantastic book on all counts!

SUMMARY

Former special ops-turned private-investigator Cam Hardy leaves a trail of broken hearts wherever he goes. He's all charm and sex appeal, and who can blame him for putting it to good use? Besides, it works damn well on the stunning and tough-as-nails makeup artist Drea Sanford. Only this time, Cam may be in over his head...

Drea is trying to keep her naughty affair with Cam a secret. After all, he's Harbor City's version of a Casanova...if Casanova had a motorcycle. When Cam makes their hot little liaison known to the public, however, Drea vows never to have sex with him again. Then one of her clients turns up dead. Now Drea is suspect number one—and she needs Cam's help. But sleeping with him is one thing...trusting him is quite another.
