Leo Alvarez, a former mercenary, has seen a lot in his life but seeing his best friend Jackson become a host to the soul of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh is something he might never get use to. This is something he must learn to deal with or completely lose the only people that matter to him. He cannot help but feel a little FORSAKEN now that his "family" doesn't seem to need him anymore.

But when Jackson is wounded by a demon god, Leo watches as another supernatural creature arrives to save him. This Night Angel, with her perfect body, black as night skin and snow white hair has his mind not on the problem at hand but on a burning desire he hasn't felt in a long time ... if ever. Even with the sexual temptation, Leo refuses to be intimidated by her power or the power of the evil they must fight together.

Faith, is the Night Angel, who has been sent to aid Jackson/Menes. She knows that without him the war will not go well and be lost before it has even begun. She never expected to encounter let alone fall in love with someone like Leo. Someway they must work together because it is only with their united strength can they bring down the evil.

FORSAKEN is the amazingly fast paced continuation of author Jacquelyn Franks World of the Nightwalker series. Leo is angry and the anger is understandable given his past torture by rival Bodywalkers and I believe he just wants things to go back to what he had with Jackson and Docia ... before the Bodywalkers. Still I did find that he kept being angry and bitter until I was really close to telling him to just get over it. Just as humans are a mix of good guys and bad guys so it goes to believe the same applies for Bodywalkers. Faith on the other hand was very cool, she put up with him and helps him deal with his anger and learn more about the new world he has been thrown in. Ms. Frank has added more supernatural beings into the mix but it is done so well that it isn't overpowering or confusing. I believe FORESAKEN is another winner and I hope that she keeps them coming.
