Susan Wiggs returns us to Avalon in the Catskill Mountains and Willow Lake for another magical romantic tale. This is a story about parents projecting expectations on their children as they are growing up and the influence parents still have on their adult children. Logan and Darcy are strong characters surrounded by an eclectic mix of supporting characters. Wiggs uses humor in much of the dialogue between Logan and Darcy to move their relationship along. Although the plot is fairly predictable, the journey of getting to the fairy tale ending is a real treat. And then there is the tradition of the Christmas Pickle -- another charming element in this whimsical story. Between most every chapter, some wonderful recipes are shared that are mentioned in the story. CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS in another great read in Ms. Wiggs' Lakeshore Chronicles series. This one is just as delightful as the rest. Don't miss it!
