Tate Colton is an undercover detective for the FBI in Eden Falls, Pennsylvania. Tate and his 5 other siblings were adopted by a wonderful man and woman who were killed during 911. None of the siblings are blood related but they could not be any closer. Their parents have left them self-sufficient and well off.
Innocent Amish girls have been kidnapped and sold to the highest bidder. Tate's sister Emma, also an FBI detective, is engaged to Caleb Troyer, brother of one of the girls taken for sex trafficking. Tate vows to return Caleb's sister along with the other girls, 16 to 20 in age, back to the Amish community.
Posing as a rich client answering the ad which was clearly selling sex, Tate meets with the middle man for his first glimpse of "Jade", who he has confirmed is Hannah Troyer. He bargains with money for the gorgeous redhead who has obviously been drugged. Whispering things to Hannah that only her brother could have known, gives her a little encouragement that he is there to help her. Tate's cover is revealed by the rich and affluent leader of the ring, Seth Maddox, the night of the proposed crackdown on the ring. All hell breaks loose and Tate barely escapes with Hannah in tow. Unfortunately, Maddox escapes and puts Hannah in dire danger because of her intimate knowledge of the operation. With Maddox and his thugs turning the country upside down to find her, Tate thinks she is safely hidden away with him. Hannah has fallen in love with Tate and encourages him to love her back. That is not how Tate wants his relationship to go with this beautiful Amish woman. He intends to have her for life, not cheap sex. His plan goes awry when Hannah is abducted from under his protection. Desperate to find her before she is killed, a lead finally takes him where he needs to go but not until after she has been strangled and Maddox apprehended. With a whisper of consciousness from Hannah, she is whisked to the hospital and a vigilant wait keeps Tate by her side. Tate now stands to lose everything he never dreamed he wanted in life.
Strap in for real excitement and a ride of thrills. The issue of human trafficking is explicit in COLTON SHOWDOWN. The ways and life of the gentle Amish community is revealed through this story and lends a great deal of understanding into this unique way of life. Marie Ferrarrella has again given us a tale of terror, excitement and true love. The Colton siblings are strong and interesting people and I love the stories of this family. Keep them coming!!
