A.Z. "Zeke" Decker is the quintessential Wyoming cowboy -- a rough, bull-headed, weathered hellion and a heart-breaker to boot. He has a connection to the land and has never considered living anywhere else. Zeke's life-long housekeeper leaves him high and dry when she decides it's time to live with her daughter and help raise her grandchildren. Zeke is left with a busy ranch to run, a house to keep up with, and ten ranch hands to feed daily. He desperately needs to find a replacement housekeeper.
Kat introduces Carlin to her cousin Zeke as a prospective housekeeper and sparks fly. Carlin agrees to work for Zeke under her terms and they broker a tentative peace. Carlin keeps her secrets locked up; however Zeke tries desperately to get to the bottom of what has her spooked. The sexual tension between Carlin and Zeke finally boils over as they give in to their desire; yet Carlin continues to fight her feelings. She refuses to allow herself to get close to anyone for fear that her past will come roaring back to cause trouble for them all.
RUNNING WILD is a sizzling, suspenseful romance set in picturesque Wyoming. Linda Howard and Linda Jones did a wonderful job with character development and building the suspense during this story. And their descriptions of the Wyoming countryside were spot on -- there were times I felt I was in the Wyoming winter, I could feel the snow and the wind howling outside the window. A wonderful suspenseful romance that I highly recommend!
