Adam Collins is the local bad boy fireman. He comes from a long line of bad boys. His father left his mother when he and his brother were little boys. And his grandfather did the same. No man in his family has stayed faithful to his wife as far back as Adam as knows. And Adam has decided it's not even worth trying -- he doesn't want to break a good woman's heart, so he's just going to have fun with his life.
Josie Wells is the local kindergarten teacher. She is sweet, pretty, and the type of girl a guy considers marrying. Josie is ready to find Mr. Right. She even goes to the town psychic to get some info about her future Mr. Right so she'll be ready when he comes along.
Josie's friends convince her that Adam might be a good way to spend some time while she is waiting for Mr. Right and they decide to push them together at the town's fall festival. Josie decides to test the waters at the kissing booth and things get downright steamy during a contest to remove fire gear. Things very quickly heat up between Adam & Josie and they are left trying to decide if things between them are just for fun or if they are playing for keep.
BRAZEN is a very fun, erotic short story. Carthryn Fox did a great job with character development for such a short story. I really enjoyed this story and will definitely go back and read the first book in the Whispering Cove series -- Wet in Whispering Cove.
