Magnus is a Viking with too many little problems. Those
little problems are from his seemingly extreme virility. He
has eleven children which does not include the offspring who
didn't make it to adulthood. This outrageous amount of
children will make for several very humorous events in the
novel that will have the reader giggling.
Magnus finds himself thrust into the future...with his
brood...he must do what has to be done in order to survive.
When he runs into Angela and she mistakes him for an actor,
he knows he has finally found the woman of his dreams. How
he goes about convincing her leads to more hysterical scenes
with Hill's trademark tongue-in-cheek humor. Angela isn't
entirely convinced that he is the man for her, but she can't
leave the hapless Viking. The reader will love reading about
Angela's and Magnus's developing relationship.
Angela is a great main character. She really seems to have
her head firmly on her shoulders. However, she tends to be a
romantic at heart. Magnus is just plain arrogant and so
cocky that it is easy to laugh at him. The secondary
characters round out the novel and provide good dialogue.
The characters are memorable and enjoyable.
The events in THE VERY VIRILE VIKING are very well written.
Sandra Hill has the ability to make the reader laugh out
loud or sigh when Magnus says, yet another, arrogant
comment. The ending is ideal and the reader will put this
book down satisfied.
Viking in Wonderland
Magnus Ericsson is a simple man. He loves the smell of
fresh-turned dirt after springtime plowing. He loves the
feel of a soft woman under him in the bed furs. He loves the
heft of a good sword in his fighting arm.
But, Holy Thor, what he does not relish is the bothersome
brood of children he’s been saddled with. Or the mysterious
happenstance that strands him in a strange new land— the
kingdom of Holly Wood. Here is a place where the folks think
he is an act-whore (whatever that is), and the woman of his
dreams—a winemaker of all things—fails to accept that he is
her soul mate, a man of exceptional talents, not to mention
. . . a very virile viking
