It's hard not to love Sandra Hill. Her writing style is
infused with humor and funny innuendos. The characters
always have many funny moments, even the "angry scenes"
have the potential to make the reader laugh.
Sidroc, the Viking decides he needs a wife, is quickly
rebuffed by headstrong Drifa. Drifa and Sidroc's
relationship gets off to a rocky start...literally. One
thing leads to another and, in anger, Drifa bashes Sidroc
over the head, sending him into a coma. When Sidroc wakes
up, he can think of nothing but revenge and his daughter
who he believes in lost to him. His daughter, the product
of a past marriage, was unwanted in many ways, but Sidroc
was still determined to save her. And the story takes off.
Drifa's character is a riot. She will assuredly make the
reader laugh. She can be temperamental and hot-headed, but
her heart is always in the right place. Sidroc is
arrogant, handsome, and believes he can do whatever he
wants. The reader will love watching Drifa take his
character down a peg or two.
THE NORSE KING'S DAUGHTER is typical Sandra Hill, fast-paced
and fun to read with many laughs. Recommended for readers
of humorous but sexy romances.
Princess Drifa can certainly see why Sidroc Guntersson is a
living legend—on battlefield and in bedchamber both. But the
King of Stoneheim’s daughter pitches a royal fit when she
learns of the true reason for the virile Viking’s passionate
attentions. A third-born son with no hope of inheriting the
family jarldom, scheming Sidroc must marry and is interested
in Drifa only for her father’s land and money. The barbarian
is lucky she just cracks him on his fool head with a pottery
pitcher!
Five years later, Drifa needs Sidroc’s protection—in
Byzantium, no less!—though revenge holds more appeal for
this man she left for dead. ‘Tis a pity two such perfect
enemies match each other so well, passion for passion. So
much so that the bold Viking berserker is soon thinking
marriage again...only this time it will be on his terms!
