Abby Winchell is all set to dislike the fancy anthropologist her grandfather's neighbors have hired to rip his Big Foot picture to shreds. When she visits one of his talks denying Bigfoot, Abby is struck by two things: the unbearable hotness of the academic and the fact that she is sure Roark is telling tall tales, that he doesn't believe half of what he's slinging to the public. They are on the same side: Abby and her grandfather's neighbors both want him to sell his land. She wants him to for his arthritis; they want him to because they are werewolves, like Roark. Immediately, Roark is attracted to the red- haired spitfire, but he's set against werewolf/human matings, having seen the difficulties his brother has had. However, Roark and Abby may have challenges resisting their mutual attraction when they both try to find...and save...a mated Bigfoot pair.
Touching, hilarious, and excellently written, WEREWOLF IN THE NORTH WOODS is a great story. It has steamy scenes, great character-depictions, particularly in regard to Grandpa Earl, and shows how some relationship challenges can be more difficult than meets the eye. Although a great stand-alone work, WEREWOLF IN THE NORTH WOODS encourages readers to devour the rest of Vicki Lewis Thompson's books immediately!
