Event planner Sophie Winston didn't plan on having the Thanksgiving from hell but it sure looks like it's going that way. She's hosting her family—her mother, father, sister and her sister's latest fiancé—in her Alexandria home. Sophie doesn't like the fiancé, Craig, upon meeting him but she can't quite put her finger on why. A trip to the grocery store begins the unraveling of this Thanksgiving holiday. Sophie is approached by a man offering a free kitten. After shopping, Sophie has second thoughts and goes looking for the man and the kitten. Instead she finds his dead body and becomes the police's chief suspect. Especially after it is discovered that the man had her photo and name in his vehicle. The following day Sophie stumbles across another body, this time at the Stupendous Stuffing Shakedown. Uh-oh. Of course Natasha is competing against Sophie here as well.
