The upright rule-follower of the Boscastle clan, Emma, spends her days teaching young girls how to act in society and the rest of her time trying to control her family and their outlandish behavior. She doesn't expect to find herself on the "daring" side of the family until events at a wedding show her how easy it is to cross to the dark side.
When Emma finds one of her suitors in a compromising position, she spurns him on the spot. Except he doesn't take it well, and nearby rogue Adrian Ruxley leaps in to help her. Only, in a not very dashing manner (much to his dismay), he ends up brained by a footman armed with a chair.
Rumors begin and even threaten Emma's school. A rival has opened another school and is insinuating that Emma may not be as upstanding as she has always appeared. Unfortunately, at least in Emma's opinion, she's beginning to care a little less about what everyone thinks and a little more about the passion that Adrian has ignited.
The Boscastle series is one of my favorites! Ms. Hunter twists plots, people and dialogue into delicious, sexy fun. You'll enjoy seeing Emma realize that life isn't always about following the rules -- and Adrian realize that sometimes, rules can be fun!
