Romance Series

Blind dates are always an adventure into the unknown, but even more so when the people come together with their own pre-set agenda. Having been burnt in the past by golddiggers, Ryan Bennett, covers for Todd Aston, he almost look alike wealthy cousin, as they are only a few months apart in age. He was supposed to take out the golddigging bimbo Julie Nelson as a joke as they both knew she was only doing it for the million dollars offered by Todd's meddling aunt. When Julie and her two sisters, Willow and Marina, first heard about their long estranged grandmother making the financial offer, they turned it into a game and Julie lost the "Rock, Scissors" decision, but decided to go along with it if only to humour her mother's mother. After the death of her husband, Ruth had only recently re-connected with her daughter who had left everything to follow the man she loved. The man her mother may have loved, but to Julie and her sisters, he had only proved to be an "on again, off- again" father who had left Julie with a legacy of distrust of men that was only compounded by her ex-finance, Garrett's behaviour. Yet, despite the agendas, when Ryan and Julie kibitz together, the magic sparkles and the homones flowed like lava. They can't wait to be in each other's arms, until Julie finds it was all a lie! Then to make matters worse, her early morning flu symptoms turn her into a "mama to be." Susan Mallery has crafted a fast paced, racy and exciting plot with two very determined and well-matched characters. The blind date scene is one of the best I had ever read and the grilling of Ryan by Julie's sisters will have you laughing with its zany humour. The good news is that this is the first in a miniseries and you will definitely want to read on to what happens to Willow in "The Million Dollar Catch"!

SUMMARY

Successful businessman Ryan Bennett had agreed to masquerade as his wealthy cousin for a blind date. But from the moment Ryan saw Julie Nelson to the moment he should have said good-night, he was captivated and couldn't resist an invitation to share her bed. In the hazy afterglow of their heated lovemaking, Ryan confessed his true identity, claiming the passion between them was real despite his deception, but Julie wasn't buying it. Obviously she considered him the enemy. Except now she was having the enemy's baby….
