I think that the more an Author gets into the plot, the more irrisitable the Hero gets for her, in this case!! You end up almost on an intimate level with your characters as you write, and that would make your characters, especially your Hero, the most important person to get close to, and give the best qualities to. If you like your character it shows, the reader empathises with them, and their attitudes, likes and dislikes come across however subtly. If you don't like them they come across as cardboard cutouts. So good for you! (Clare O'Beara 10:47am January 12, 2013)
