The rolling fields of Shelby County are home to some of
the finest horseflesh and bluest blood in Kentucky. It's
easy to see why the locals call it Paradise County. But
ever since she was a girl, it has simply felt like home to
photographer Alexandra Haywood. Amid a luxury-laden
childhood filled with turbulent divorces and a tangle of
step-siblings, Alex always treasured the peace she and her
younger sister Neily found at Whistledown, the family's
magnificent horse farm. Now that their father is dead,
Alex has returned to preserve her memories and begin her
latest project—a photographic study of Paradise County.
All goes as planned until Neily falls hard for Eli Welch,
whose father owns the broken-down farm that borders
Whistledown. Always protective of her trusting little
sister, Alex sets out to confront Eli's father and make
sure Eli is not just after the Haywood money.
