Organizations and their awards, such as the Pulitzer Prize, National Headliner Award, and Sigma Chi Delta Award, are featured in this enticingly arranged anthology. Information about the winners of these prestigious awards, where they are based and what motivates each of their cartoons is included.
Featured are notable figures behind the awards, such as Thomas Nash, who was considered by many to be the "Father of American Political Cartooning." This book is designed to supplement the Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year Series. Dean Turnbloom has cartooned all his life, but it was not until he retired from the Navy that he began having his work published. Turnbloom has had his cartoons published in newspapers large and small as well as online.
