Thriller Domestic

Just when you think you have read every thriller that could possibly shock you, leave you in a daze of wonder for days, and make you think that you have read ever scenario there is to read, J.T. Ellison writes GOOD GIRLS LIE, and I am blown away! I love the storyline, and it is not like your other girl school tales. This one, without sounding cliché, really did have unnerving surprises through out each chapter. Just when you thought you had the story figured out it, it smacks you with another twist. I really could not wait to pick this novel up to finish it each day.

The Goode School is an all-girl boarding prep school for those with influential backgrounds. Some come here because it is expected from a long line of family obligations, others because of intelligence, and the need to fulfill a promising future at an Ivy League university. One girl shows up, who does not really belong but somehow fits in. Or does she? Things happen, and secrets within a school are revealed by turns of events. But the school is not the only thing that holds secrets.

This novel has such a startling turn of events that I highly feel any thriller reader will find the story an exhilarating shocker. I recommend it for your reading list for the year! GOOD GIRLS LIE written by J.T. Ellison has strong interesting characters that are revealed as the story is told by selected ones. This added to the mystery stirring up what you thought you might know about them. I’ll be thinking about this one for days making it clear that I need to read more from J.T. Ellison!

SUMMARY

Goode girls don’t lie…

Perched atop a hill in the tiny town of Marchburg, Virginia, The Goode School is a prestigious prep school known as a Silent Ivy. The boarding school of choice for daughters of the rich and influential, it accepts only the best and the brightest. Its elite status, long-held traditions and honor code are ideal for preparing exceptional young women for brilliant futures at Ivy League universities and beyond. But a stranger has come to Goode, and this ivy has turned poisonous.

In a world where appearances are everything, as long as students pretend to follow the rules, no one questions the cruelties of the secret societies or the dubious behavior of the privileged young women who expect to get away with murder. But when a popular student is found dead, the truth cannot be ignored. Rumors suggest she was struggling with a secret that drove her to suicide.

But look closely…because there are truths and there are lies, and then there is everything that really happened.

J.T. Ellison’s pulse-pounding new novel examines the tenuous bonds of friendship, the power of lies and the desperate lengths people will go to to protect their secrets.
