the four fabulous stories in this anthology, I admit to
being the most partial to Alyssa Day's Curse of the Black
Swan. One bit of advice though? Do not pay attention to the
blurb on the back of the anthology. Not sure what happened
there but what it tells you is not what the story is about.
I fell in love with Ms. Day's new League of the Black
Swan
series with her first book, Cursed, and The Curse of the
Black Swan has only reinforced that. Best news is that Ms.
Day has said all of Sean's fire demon brothers' will get
their own novellas as well. The pyro I keep suppressed deep
inside me is doing one hell of a happy dance right now.
Lora Leigh takes us back into the world of her breeds with
THe Devil's Due and tantalizes us with glimpses of Cassandra
Sinclair's story. Cassie is a character whose story readers
have been waiting for from the beginning of Lora Leigh's
Breed series and since she has said Cassie's story
isn't
coming anytime soon, hopefully this'll be enough to tide
readers over until that fateful day arrives. Though I always
enjoy an adventure into the lives of the breeds, I felt this
story was a bit more of a set up for things to come and
didn't focus enough of it's time on the main characters.
Having said that though, it's Lora Leigh, so you know it is
going to be good.
Lucy Monroe continues her Children of the Moon series
with
Ecstasy Under the Moon, which occurs between the third and
fourth book in the series. I love the sweetness of the
romance between Una and Bryant. Bryant is so patient with
Una and her family, winning them over slowly, and watching
Una come out of her shell to reclaim the life she once had
made this story thoroughly enjoyable. You can never go wrong
with Lucy Monroe.
Of the four novellas featured in the ENTHRALLED anthology,
the only author I'm unfamiliar with is Meljean Brook. While
I did like her story Salvage, I know I would have enjoyed it
more if I'd been familiar with the world she's created.
That's certainly not the story's fault though and it just
means I will have to now familiarize myself with this author
because even though at times I was left a bit bewildered by
her world, her writing pulled me into the story.

authors who'll leave you pining for more stories. If these
novellas don't get you adding more books to your TBR pile,
then you shouldn't be reading romance novels.
