Florida Department Law Enforcement Agent Chloe McMurray
isnβt used to being asked to do a lot for her job, but
this one has her a bit confused. Why was she brought into
what seems to be a federal op? She and her counterpart,
Federal Agent Wesley Law, are going to pose as a couple to
investigate what appears to be a string of murders and
murder/suicides that just happen to have a technological
connection. They are going on a cruise as second
honeymooners with an interest in the technology and hoping
it is not A CRUISE TO DIE FOR.
Their targeted people are connected to a corporation
called Milestones, which has ties to many industries, and is
giving a symposium on the cruise ship. Given only hours to
learn their new identities, each other, and the people they
are to watch for, Chloe and her new βhusbandβ
board what should be a fun adventure. But danger lurks at
all corners, and in this case, if things go haywire, they
have no escape.
A CRUISE TO DIE FOR is a fascinating look at a cruise and
what could happen behind the scenes as other guests go
merrily along with their fun. Chloe and Wesley are very
interesting as individuals who are good at their jobs and
very confident in their abilities. It was fun to watch as
they β along with readers β get to know them and
feelings grow between them. They are pretending to be a
young married couple on their delayed honeymoon after all,
so some affection is to be expected.
The adventure that is the mystery of who the bad guys are
and how to stop them was, as always, with the wicked mind of
author Heather Graham, intriguing. Readers have the chance
to try to solve the mystery as they read along, but this one
just might stump those who love to play detective. Some
moments feel like they drag, but you will appreciate them,
as in those moments, you are given a number of hints to help
the solving of this mystery.
If you are in the mood for a good mystery, a look at what
a cruise can look like, the perfect touch of romance, and a
lot of twists and turns, then A CRUISE TO DIE FOR will be
the book you need.
