A member of the town council is threatening the library’s funding. Lindsey isn’t going down without a fight. Inspired to get more people caring about the library, she has the brilliant idea of having a boat book mobile so she can deliver books to people on the surrounding islands.
With the help from her friend Robbie, she secures funding and her husband agrees to captain the boat book mobile. The first run is successful with one minor unpleasant interaction. However, on the second trip, Lindsey discovers a dead body. This particular island has a famous feud. Everyone believes one party murdered the other. When Linsey’s funding comes into question, she makes it her mission to discover what really happened.
BOOKING FOR TROUBLE is the 16th book in the Library Lover's Mystery series, which should be read in order. Jenn McKinlay uses current library issues to create tension and drama in her fictional town. Readers will enjoy this mystery with favorite characters popping up. I found a new favorite character in this installment, and I hope to see more of her. It is rumored that this is the last book of the series. I really hope that’s not the case.
