The acceptance that Tanis received from Dash’s family and friends is heartwarming considering that she had been shunned by her kind. Author Sherrilyn Kenyon is very talented in world-building which makes it all very realistic even in a paranormal realm. You are able to see everything clearly and feel what the characters are feeling. As with a number of Ms. Kenyon’s books interesting conversations and snarky humor find their way into the pages perfectly timed to break the danger and intrigue. The secrets and surprises just keep coming out leading to sadness or happiness, depending on what the secret holds. The ending to HOUSE OF FIRE AND MAGIC will most likely catch readers by surprise. Though perhaps not as no matter whether you read paranormal or contemporary readers want a happily ever after.
A feel-good read that shakes up with usual thoughts of the magical sweet unicorns and fire-breathing dragons. An amazingly fun touching read.
