Romance Holiday

Aileen isn’t at all a stranger to people who have unusual jobs. Her family are after all hitmen – quite a few people she knows are not exactly pillars of the law. To Aileen, they are just family and neighbors. But this single mom finds herself looking at one neighbor with a slightly different thought in mind. She is a single mom and would like to get off the celibate lane and into life again. Maybe making him A VERY MERRY HITMAN would be a good start. Not completely surprised when he shuts her down, she decides to give it a go for the dating world anyway.

Dante wants to help Aileen more than anything else in the world because he has wanted her forever but knowing her past, he thinks of her as off-limits.  That changes when two different Santas try to rob her. Something very strange is going on and he isn’t about to let her be on her own until he figures it out. He might appreciate help, but her family is getting in the way of him and Aileen getting closer to where he has always wanted her. In his arms.

A VERY MERRY HITMAN by author Katie Reus, is an unusual holiday offering, but it certainly can be read at any time. Dante and Aileen are an intriguing couple because of how they accept as normal the hitman aspect of their family and lives. Ms. Reus’ ability to build a world and fill it with characters is always amazing.  Aside from being killers – these people seem normal average people and that comes across in the various dialogues and interactions between Dante, Aileen, her family and friends and neighbors. There is, of course, humor intermixed with fear and worry as they work to figure out what is with the evil Santa’s attacks.

If you love a sweet and steamy romance with a touch of suspense and action, danger and drama then A VERY MERRY HITMAN will be the perfect for a cozy holiday read or warm beach read. Either way you will be thrilled with this book.

SUMMARY

She’s surrounded by hitmen…

Aileen’s parents, brother and all her neighbors have unconventional jobs to say the least. So she’s surrounded by hitmen. Is it a little strange? Sure, but so is she. And lately she finds herself looking at one of her neighbors in a new light. When the single mom asks him for a teeny tiny favor—to help her after years of being celibate—he shuts down. So she decides to throw herself back out there and start dating again.

And he’s the most intimidating of them all…

Dante has wanted Aileen for as long as he can remember, but because of her past trauma, he’s always considered her off-limits. When two different Santas try to rob her in a matter of days, then all bets are off. Something weird is going on, so he does what any good hitman would do—he takes over her protection detail. He’ll keep her under his roof, in his arms, and hopefully in his bed, while ending any and all threats to her. Too bad her nosy family keeps getting in his way. It may be the most wonderful time of the year, but danger is about to find them all.
