Auden Scott has always been a disappointment to her Psy parents. Even before her brain injury she just didn’t fit their plans. It seems they both wanted a PRIMAL MIRROR of themselves, and Auden was not it. She has fuzzy moments, blank memories and a pregnancy that she does not remember conceiving – she knows she has to protect this innocent child. But from who or what?
Alpha Remi Denier is a leopard changeling who leads a small pack and though she confuses him he adds Auden to his protective instincts. After meeting the mysterious woman several times he only finds her more confusing than the first time. Her scent seems to change and that is impossible and though he knows there is a mystery his heart has already claimed her “cub”.
PRIMAL MIRROR is author Nalini Singh at her science fiction paranormal best. Her Psy-Changeling series continues with this amazing story of Auden and Remi.
Auden is the daughter of Shoshanna Scott (and fans of this series know who and what she was/is) and is confused by what is real and unreal as those associated with her mother have “proof” of what has been going on in her life. Things she does not remember and doesn’t feel she was the one involved in these life-changing events. Then she meets Remi, and everything feels so much for the better. This changeling is someone she can trust – maybe.
Remi, an angry changeling after his mother’s death, learns through the years who he is and begins to gather a small pack – including those who might not fit in elsewhere.
Readers will get to know Remi and Auden, the pack, her people and those who are desperately trying to keep the psy-net alive and well. If it falls thousands will die. Auden is even stronger than Remi though, and he thought highly of her throughout PRIMAL MIRROR. I loved the way the pack accepted Auden and the baby, without question even knowing her less-than-savory lineage.
The ending of PRIMAL MIRROR will have fans in shock but will be thrilled with the outcome – especially those who love a happily-ever-after read. Action, danger, drama and many twists and surprises fill these pages – so sit back and enjoy.
