Thriller Serial Killer

Hang onto your seats. The action never stops. Each scene morphs into another possible variable of this case. Each character has a very defined role. Formidable dialog. Starring Frankie Elkin, the people finder who gives Nowhere as her home address. Lisa Gardner created Frankie and we’d been delighted to have a front seat watching her antics. Frankie is so very bright and intuitive. She is also a loner and introvert. Which makes her choice of a career, shall we say, rather incongruous with her nature?

Frankie Elkin has an abundance of care, especially for those who are missing. Perhaps dead and not among the land of the living. But missing as in no one has any knowledge of these folks’ whereabouts. Frankie has had some noted success in reuniting folks with their missing. And in STILL SEE YOU EVERYWHERE she is recruited to find the younger sister of a woman whose execution is scheduled just weeks away. The prisoner aka Beautiful Butcher, I’ll leave the joy of discovery to you, uses her lawyer as the conduit between herself and Frankie.

Frankie is sent to a very remote island where she expects to locate the sister. Make sure she is okay and not the victim of a kidnapping. In this day where human trafficking is newsworthy, the knowledge of a perverse lifestyle is not so shocking. But Frankie needs to ferret out just who are the bad guys. Who, if anyone, can be trusted and follow any leads to locate the sister? Mostly Frankie works on her own. On the island, there seems to be a trustworthy cadre of people. But with time that circle seems to shrink. And there is a definite sense of danger afloat. No pun intended.

So difficult to write a review for anything written by this amazing author. The plot line is rather ingenious, as always. We welcome Lisa Gardner back from her sabbatical. Fans will absolutely enjoy reading more from the voice and mind of Frankie Elkin. Truly a uniquely simple yet complicated character who oozes care, sass, humor, and intellect. From Lisa Gardner’s imagination and creativity be prepared to be entertained by some of the best characters.

SUMMARY

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner comes a harrowing new thriller: Frankie Elkin is an expert at finding the missing persons that the rest of the world has forgotten, but even she couldn’t have anticipated this latest request—to locate the long-lost sister of a female serial killer facing execution in three weeks’ time.

Frankie Elkin is an expert at finding the missing persons that the rest of the world has forgotten, but even she couldn’t have anticipated this latest request—to locate the long-lost sister of a female serial killer facing execution in three weeks’ time.

She has called herself "death," but people called her the devil.

The case was sensational. Kaylee Pierson had confessed from the very beginning, waived all appeals. Despite the media’s chronicling of her tragic circumstances—the childhood spent with a violent father—no one could find sympathy for “the Beautiful Butcher” who had led eighteen men home from bars before viciously slitting their throats.
Now, with only twenty-one days left to live, Pierson has finally received a lead on the whereabouts of the sister who was kidnapped over a decade ago, and she needs Frankie’s help to find her. The Beautiful Butcher’s offer:

When was the last time your search ended with finding the living?

Unable to resist the chance for a rescue, Frankie takes on Pierson’s request. Twelve years ago, five-year-old Leilani went missing in Hawaii. The main suspect? Pierson’s tech mogul ex-boyfriend, Sanders MacManus. Now, on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific—the site of MacManus’s latest vanity project—fresh evidence has appeared. In order to learn the truth and possibly save a young woman’s life, Frankie must go undercover at the isolated base camp. Her challenge: A dozen strangers. Countless dangerous secrets. Zero means of calling for help. And then the storm rolls in…
