I found it funny that Dillon kept comparing his life, places, and people to Gilliganβs Island β which, of course, sends the reader down another route and a good laugh. Though he is the MOB BOSS, he has been trying to clean up some of the less savory actions of past leaders β while still being part of a mob crime family.
Molly, more often called Greta, has a secret that comes out when a couple of stories hit the papers. The truth of her background is something that could drive them apart, but love is meant to be for these two.
Some parts of MOB BOSS seemed a bit disjointed or at least not as fleshed out as it could have been so there are no loose ends in the readerβs mind. One incident that comes to mind is the arrest that Greta suffers through β the who, how, and why the charges were dropped might have been better explained. The romance was steamy. The BDSM is not overwhelming but there is, of course, the Daddy thing that Ms. Barclay is known for.
If you love the mafia genre and are ready for an Irish story, then you need to get MOB BOSS and sit back and enjoy.
