Romance Billionaire | Action | Fiction Adventure

Dillon O’Rourke isn’t happy sitting around one of the family’s legitimate clubs. He didn’t know why he was stuck there when he wasn’t the one negotiating the deal. The only good thing was that while there he spotted one of their cocktail waitresses and something about her got his full attention. Without knowing why he becomes protective, and more than a little angry at the Albanians with whom they were supposed to be making a deal. He drew the line about letting anyone maul the staff – so he certainly didn’t let the enemy.

Molly (also known as Greta, Margaret, and the Irish form of her name Mairghraid) MacDonnell has an agenda for working at the club. It certainly wasn’t to fall for the MOB BOSS. But sometimes fate does give you everything you didn’t know you wanted.

MOB BOSS is the first of Sabrine Barclay’s The O’Rourke Brotherhood and features Dillon O’Rourke, the head of the Irish Mob, and is filled with several unexpected twists and turns.

I found it funny that Dillon kept comparing his life, places, and people to Gilligan’s Island – which, of course, sends the reader down another route and a good laugh. Though he is the MOB BOSS, he has been trying to clean up some of the less savory actions of past leaders – while still being part of a mob crime family.

Molly, more often called Greta, has a secret that comes out when a couple of stories hit the papers. The truth of her background is something that could drive them apart, but love is meant to be for these two.

Some parts of MOB BOSS seemed a bit disjointed or at least not as fleshed out as it could have been so there are no loose ends in the reader’s mind. One incident that comes to mind is the arrest that Greta suffers through – the who, how, and why the charges were dropped might have been better explained. The romance was steamy. The BDSM is not overwhelming but there is, of course, the Daddy thing that Ms. Barclay is known for.

If you love the mafia genre and are ready for an Irish story, then you need to get MOB BOSS and sit back and enjoy.

SUMMARY

You can’t hide anything from me.

She thought she knew me.

She thought I wouldn’t find out.

I did.

Now I’ll protect her from herself and anyone who thinks to touch what’s mine.

The pleasure I’ll bring her is unlike anything she’s ever known.

The damage I’ll do to anyone who gets in our way is unlike anything you’ve ever known.

She’s mine to have and to hold.

And that’s exactly what I plan to do.

She’s my cailín, and I’ll be whoever she needs.
