Luna West is a human artist who draws Kade in with a painting of a gray wolf. Is he drawn to this human because the mage who is after the lone wolves has set her up as bait? Or maybe after all these years, he has found someone. Fate may be fickle, but Kade is willing to chance this encounter – if the mage doesn’t do him in – it will be an amazing ride.

PROTECTING THE GRAY WOLF is a fantastic read. It follows TAMING THE WHITE WOLF in author N.J. Walters's Lone Wolf Legacy series. Kade is a loner—and rather gruff in his personality, but then again, he is a loner. Luna is young and impressionable but a real fighter when all is said and done.

A very powerful mage is setting up the lone wolves to take what they have – immortality. The danger, twists, and turns that affect this couple will take your breath away. As will the steamy romance that is always expected from Ms. Walters's storylines. This series is different in giving readers the view of the lone wolf – who might be a regular wolf until a new lone wolf is needed and they are changed and shunned by their packs. A lone wolf is that – alone – no pack, no mate, policing the packs when needed. It is intriguing to watch these guys find that no matter what they are told, they find that love is theirs to have if they reach out for it.

PROTECTING THE GRAY WOLF will have you on the edge of your seat, flipping pages as fast as possible and once you get to the end – you will want more. Once again another great job!
