For those new to the Breeds series: It was decades ago that in the search for the ultimate warrior animal DNA was injected into human embryos. As usual, this new breed has been tortured and feared and the later addition of cross breeds who had it even worse.

Katy doesn’t know exactly what she might be, and the truth almost comes too late. However because she doesn’t know the truth of her background, even she does not know the danger of Dane’s rejection of her could cause. Finally, Dane does what he must to save her but, of course, it is a romance and must have HEA.

The world and characters found in DANE’S MARK are exceptionally well fleshed out and somehow realistic. There are several secrets and misunderstandings that crop up and must be dealt with and all of them are done in a well-thought-out manner. Characters from past Breeds books that are loved and maybe some that are feared appear in DANE’S MARK as the danger and intrigue flow from page to page in this exciting read.

If you have missed Ms. Leigh’s Breeds series (the last offering was Cross Breed released in 2018) then you will love getting your hands on DANE’S MARK.
